I am so grateful for meeting Dr Hayden and for her offering her insight and expertise about neuropsychology, specifically women’s brain health and Alzheimer’s. I felt so blessed that I was able to participate in a surf /yoga retreat with Swellwomen , but to have the addition of Dr Hayden’s sessions truly made the retreat really special and exceeded my expectations. Her knowledge in the field of women’s brain health is excellent and since it is a field that is not very widespread as of yet, her information was so valuable and empowering.
I hope there will be more sessions like these offered with surf retreats and since this a growing field, it will be important to stay on top of it and with someone as experienced as Dr Hayden that would be so beneficial.

Learning to surf -- challenging yet fun!
Guided restorative yoga -- calming and peaceful.
Understanding how both strengthen my brain-- priceless!
Dr. Hayden is an inspirational role model. She distills academic research detailing risks to our brain health, yet coupled with actions to prevent and prevail.
No big deal if I misplace my phone now! I'll find it. Turn it off, And get outside.
Thank you, Dr. Hayden!

I wasn’t sure what to expect at a retreat that included a preventive medicine program focused on brain-mind-body connections. But it fit the journey I am on to be as healthy as possible for as long as possible. I think we all know mind, body, and soul is important but the workshop got me thinking, what about the brain? Shouldn’t I know more about how to keep it as healthy for as long as possible? And on cue, Dr. Hayden delivered so much great information in an incredibly informative and engaging way that included understanding the risks AND the very simple everyday things to do to minimize cognitive decline. I ordered the workbook to take the workshop to the next step for me!
